Since 2003 more than 81,000 IED attacks have occurred in Iraq, including 25,000 so far this year. The roadside bomb has become the signature weapon in Iraq and Afghanistan. IED's have caused nearly two-thirds of the 3,100 American combat deaths in Iraq and an even higher proportion of battle wounds. It's a sobering story.

DEMOCRATIC LEADERS CALL LIMBAUGH COMMENTS "BEYOND THE PALE"

If this is what the liberal left plans on using to respond to the MoveOn.Org ad, they are really a sorry crew. It seems that a caller called Rush Limbaugh's radio show, and talked about anti war soldiers being "phony soldiers". Limbaugh responded that he agreed when talking about the guy who wrote about all the atrocities he had seen in Iraq, but the guy never served. Now the Democratic leaders are going to send a letter Monday. How silly!!

Things are not looking good for the Republicans in Congress. They are having trouble finding candidates, they are having trouble raising money, and Congressional Republicans are retiring every month. How much worse can it get.

DEMOCRATS MISS BUDGET DEADLINE

Andrew Taylor of the Associated Press correctly points out that the most basic job of Congress is to pass the bills that pay the costs of running the government. The Democrats have not completed even one of the 12 spending bills necessary. Let's see how they spin this one.
