MARINES, IRAQI POLICE RID ANBAR OF INSURGENTS
A good article detailing how the Marines of Company C, and local Iraqi Police recently swept through the farmlands outside Habbaniyah, to rid the area of insurgents.
CITIZEN MARINE AWARDED SILVER STAR
Read this post from Centcom about a true hero. Marine Corps Reserve Sgt Jeff Hunter. We are so blessed to have heroes like this fighting for our country.
MY MIND IS MADE UP, DON'T CONFUSE ME WITH THE FACTS!!
Powerline has an excellent post pointing out the Democrats hypocrisy with their attack on General Petraeus, without ever having seen his report.
THE TIDE IS TURNING IN IRAQ
Good op-ed by Kimberly Kagan. She correctly points out that the tribal movement against al Qaeda in Anbar province has spread to other parts of Iraq. She also explains why the American people should be optimistic about the prospects for establishing security in Iraq, and every reason to continue supporting the current strategy.
SUNNI BLOC ENDS BOYCOTT IN IRAQ
Just another story that we have to look to the foreign media for an honest report. The mainstream media continues to mislead the American people, and even worse, fails to report the story at all. The BBC has this story, reporting that the Sunni bloc has ended their boycott in Iraq.
DEMS ALREADY DISCOUNT WAR REPORT
The Washington Times reported last week that it really doesn't matter what General Petraeus says today, the Democrats have already discounted his report. Shame on the Congressional Democrats.
BUSH WILL GET HIS WAY ON IRAQ - AGAIN
John Podhoretz has an interesting article in the New York Post. He claims that George W. Bush will get his way again on Iraq. Why? Several reasons. First Petraeus will report startling and unexprected progress against al Qaeda and the Sunni insurgency. Second, the expected Republican meltdown (expected by who - the Democrats?) has not happened. The best part of Podhoretz's article is the following "Teddy Kennedy will bloviate. Carl Levin will castigate. Harry Reid will susurrate and Chris Matthews will hyperventilate."
